Black Friday in 2023 in America begins on November 24. This is the time when many products can be bought with huge discounts of up to 70%. For example, on Amazon you may be able to snag Apple Watch, Apple Macbook laptops, or iPad tablets. There are only a few thousand such discounts, and they get snapped up very quickly, so it’s best to monitor offers regularly if you want to save several tens of thousands of rubles. At the same time, in 2023, just like in 2022, Amazon is holding an earlier sale to satisfy buyers before Black Friday and take revenue away from other retailers. Their promotion is called Prime Big Deals Day, and it starts on 10-11 October.
Good deals on Apple Macbook, Apple Watch, and Apple headphones are available at Target. This year, they are also running a promotion on 1-7 October, in addition to the regular Black Friday. And from 1 October through 24 December, the Deal of the Day promotion is running.
There are rumors that this year Apple iPhone Pro will be sold at a discount on eBay. This once-largest American auction site is trying very hard to become an official store in order to provide worthy competition to Amazon. And in recent years, their online discounts have been very generous. Be sure to check them out during BF — you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the savings and the variety.
Overall, even during Black Friday discounts, you won’t be able to buy Apple with huge savings. The company itself does not lower the prices of its products, and stores can only sell them at 10-20% below the usual price — at a loss to themselves, in order to attract customers. But on the other hand, in the US Apple devices generally cost 1,5-2 times less than in stores in Russia. That means even if you buy an iPhone or iPad with minimal discounts, it will still save you tens of thousands of rubles compared to buying in Russia.
Please note that the duty-free import limit for goods is the equivalent of 1000 euros (after that, you will need to pay a small duty). And each individual item in the package must cost up to 2500 dollars.
On March 2, 2022, Asos left Russia, and even in Kazakhstan you can only buy this high-quality clothing in a limited format. Amazon is mainly focused on underwear. The best Android smartphones. No unnecessary intrusive apps in the firmware, with the best camera and specs. At the same time, “Pixels” are officially unavailable in Russia. The famous Levi's 501 Original can be bought for $100-$110. And a quality Levi's jacket (levi's trucker jacket) costs from $90 these days.
Sometimes better deals, especially on wrangler jeans, can be found on Amazon. But overall, the best discounts on Levi's products are on the official website and at Macy's. But still take a look at Macy's, especially during Black Friday in the US. With promo codes and unique discounts, you can sometimes buy Ralph Lauren T-shirts there from $27, and hoodies — from $34. Some collections from Polo Ralph Lauren are also sold on Amazon, although the choice of colors and styles there is somewhat limited.
Very few people know this, but in the USA the company has its own store, Samsung.com/US/, where on Black Friday and Cyber Monday there are often very good discounts (similarly, by the way, with the Microsoft store, where you can profitably buy an Xbox or Surface laptops). Prices for the Samsung Galaxy S23 are $749, and with a discount you can buy them even cheaper.
